1. Eat: Scrambled egg with sauteed mushroom & onion, complete with toast and salad
Saltish scrambled egg goes well with the lightly aromatic mushroom & onion. Toast is slightly crispy and not too heaty.
Venue: Antoinette at Mandarin Gallery, #02-33/34
2. Eat: Rice Tamago Sushi (Sushi rice in omelette), Tofu Avocado Salad
Tastes and textures of both are still good. Portion of the salad is now half of what was served about 6 months ago, it’s rather disappointing. Give the omelette a try. I like the Wasabi mayo dressing for the salad.
Venue: MOF/Lenas at Serangoon NEX, #02-01
3. Eat: MAD Chocolate Lover
Think chocolatey thoughts: chocolate cake-chocolate mousse-chocolate cake-chocolate mousse-cocoa powder. MAD Chocolate Lover is what distinguishes between a sweet tooth and a chocolate tooth. Not sweet, simply chocolatey. The mousse is a pleasant thing.
Venue: MAD JACK Cafe, NEX #B1-27
地点：MAD JACK 咖啡座，实龙岗NEX，#B1-27
4. Eat: pancakes
The sweet-tasting one has a layer of beaten egg and topped with ground peanut and corn, just nicely cooked and each ingredient’s taste is not overwhelmed by another. The saltish-tasting one is covered with beaten egg, dried radish, carrot and spring onion.
Generous portions of ingredients, but the dried radish is a little too much for me that it tastes a little too saltish, while the pancake is nice on the whole. Do not underestimate a palm-sized pancake’s ability to fill your stomach!
Venue: Ah Long Pancake at Lavender Food Square
