It’s not overdone to say that, even someone from this region who has never been to Hong Kong would very very likely have heard of Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀) in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Approximately 1km across the water from Hong Kong island, Tsim Sha Tsui is at the southern tip of Kowloon peninsula.
Tsim Sha Tsui, or conveniently known as TST, is a shopping and food paradise for both tourists and locals. Amid the hustle and bustle of labyrinthine TST, there sits a less known gem, the Kowloon Park (九龙公园).
Nothing pompous, the Kowloon Park is a garden with birds singing to the rhythm of meandering water flow and it houses numerous native trees, plants and insects. Walking along the slightly hilly paths makes the heart pump a little harder. When was the last time you seriously smell the smell of greenery?
