Prof Miksic’s talk on Raffles and the Archaeology of Southeast Asia

I have enjoyed every talk and lecture by Prof. John N. Miksic from the Southeast Asian Studies Department at the National University of Singapore. I remember he said that, an archaeologist has to have the stamina and passion for trekking and hiking. Of course, there is the common understanding of getting oneself totally soiled. Yes, and the backaches from awkward postures.

So, become an armchair archaeologist and go attend his talk at the Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore. Be very attentive if you are poor at deciphering accents. Take time to visit the museum too, it will be a wonderful experience. Check out their guided tours in various languages here.
