Artichoke’s pricing is not exactly purse-friendly, but I cannot help willing to pay a little more for Artichoke’s creativity (they call it funky food), the dining ambience and experience (sometimes the music is too loud for me though), and knowing that some of the ingredients are harvested from their urban farm within the compound (I am a sucker for carbon footprint reduction).

In any case, their ‘made in Singapore’ policy says, “every dish on this menu features one or more locally made, grown or reared ingredient.” – extracted from Artichoke’s menu.

虽然Artichoke的定价不是那么大众化,但我愿意付高一点的价格来奖励他们的创意及用餐环境与体验。此外,某些食材还是从他们餐馆外的小菜园采摘来的。他们的每一道菜肴都总会用上本地生产、种植、或饲养的食材,有些还是有机食材。

If a mass-produced Wall’s Magnum can be sold for SGD3.90, I don’t see why I shall not pay SGD6-8 for a hand-made Neh Neh Pop that’s full of yummie ingredients.

如果一支出自工厂生产线的华氏Magnum雪糕可以要价3.90新元,那么以6至8新元购买一支Artichoke手工制作、材料十足的雪糕又有何妨?
